The Membership Committee of Dreisbach UCC will hold the 2nd Annual Veterans Christmas Remembrance Celebration on December 15, 2018 @ 10AM. This year's event will begin with a celebratory program inside the sanctuary led by Master of Ceremonies, LT COL (Retired) Andy Mahoney of the Bucknell Military Science program. The PA National Guard, Senator Gene Yaw, and State Representative Fred Keller are confirmed to participate. Local veterans organizations and Scout representatives have also been invited to attend.
The community is invited to sponsor a wreath that will be laid at each veterans’ graves buried in the cemetery at Dreisbach UCC following the celebratory program. From now until December 2, 2018, Dreisbach UCC is accepting donations in the denomination of $20 per wreath to ensure all 113 wreaths needed to honor every veteran and 8 branches of the military are sponsored. Wreaths are being made locally by Alex Haines of Mifflinburg.
The goal is to spread patriotism and commemoration, during the Christmas season, for the ultimate sacrifices these veterans made for our country.
This event is free and open to the public.
