Fall Festival Recap
It was a beautiful, sunny day for our 8th Annual Fall Festival. Everyone enjoyed the singing of Alex Cooke, the children and games, tasting the samples at the pie contest, drooling over the baked goods, smelling the aroma of the soups at the food stand!
This year, Rob Heddens and his pork cooker attracted many a person for samples.
Everyone came back for “Clyde’s Fries.” Gordon Young made the ham and bean soup which was sold out! Thanks to these three gentlemen who made generous donations.
Thanks goes to everyone who helped setup, volunteers for the day, food donations & items and cleanup. We have some of the best cooks and bakers in the area!
Pie Contest Winners
The pie tasting contest stand was a big success again this year with 7 youth and 3 female adults entering their favorite pies, not sure where the adult male bakers were.
The winners in the youth division were Hendrix Kaster taking 1st place with his award winning monster pie, Liam Kratzer took 2nd place with his delicious traditional apple pie and 3rd place was Bentley Yearick with his snickerdoodle cream pie. In the adult female division Donna Chappell took 1st place with her sour cherry meringue pie and Bev Chamra took 2nd place with her apple cheese cake pie and her crustless fudge pie took 3rd place.
Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thank you to all that participated!
