December Consistory Meeting Highlights
· Consistory is checking into obtaining a maintenance contract for the organ.
· The locks for the church will be changed January 3rd.
· Election of new Consistory Members will be December 21, 2023.
· The Tech wage for preparing the visual slides for the service was increased to $100/service.
· Penn Central Conference is planning a Music Festival at Sunbury UCC.
· February 11, 2024, Souper Bowl Sunday, we plan to serve a free soup and hot dog lunch from 12-2, for those in need. Please watch the Bulletin for ways you can help or donate.
· The Consistory meeting in January has been moved to Thursday, January 18, 2024 @7pm.

Spiritual Gifts
Soup & Salad Brunch
Please join us on the First Sunday of January, 1/7/24, for a Soup and Salad Brunch following the worship service. A sign-up sheet is available at the back of the sanctuary to provide soup, salad and dessert donations.
Childcare
Volunteers are available to care for your child in the nursery every Sunday after the Children’s Time until the end of the service. Parents and caretakers are welcome to send their children to the nursery during that time. All volunteers have appropriate clearances. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Diane Hackenberg.
The volunteers for January are: January 7 – Lori Leitzel; January 14 – Michelle Owens; January 21 – Sharon Rein; January 28 – Diane Hackenberg.
Lattes & Laughs
Let’s beat the Winter Blues with some Lattes and Laughs!!! Join me, Tammy Pierce in the downstairs social room Thursdays from 10-11:30am for games and puzzles starting January 4th. This is open to anyone, who wants to get together and have fun with others during these cold months, so please invite your friends. Coffee will be provided or bring your own. If you have questions or would like to help, please see me.
Devitt House Gifts
“Thank You” to each of you who donated Christmas gifts to the residents of Devitt House. The gifts were distributed on December 21st at their annual Christmas party. The folks at Devitt House expressed their appreciation at being remembered. Again, thank you to each of you for your kind and generous participation. Carol and Larry Snook

2024 ALL CHURCH RETREAT
(An Uplifting & Spiritually Fulfilling Weekend)

North of Mifflinburg
The weekend includes sessions with our speaker Rev. Rachel Hackenberg, 5 meals, kids’ program, singing, games and lots of fun!
(Rachel grew up in Dreisbach and is currently the publisher of Pilgrim Press, the publishing branch of the United Church of Christ.)
Please fill out the registration form below and return it along with your payment to Scott Sanders 221 Pine St. Mifflinburg, PA 17844 or see him during worship no later than February 17. Checks should be made payable to Dreisbach UCC. Payment is due before the start of the retreat.
